It will be a red, white and blue celebration in Terrell on Thursday, July 4.
The annual 4th of July Fireworks display, hosted by the Terrell Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be held at 9:15 p.m. at Ben Gill Park in Terrell.
The tricycle and bicycle decorating contest and parade will also be held at Ben Gill Park at 7:15 p.m. Watch participants travel through the Ben Gill Park trail as they display their patriotic colors on the tricycle and bicycle.
Also, the Jack Nelson Band will be performing from 7-9 p.m. at Ben Gill Park. Nelson is a nationally touring country music artist from Huntsville. Nelson is a Corpus Christi Bay native and he served the United States Navy for four and a half years.
The third annual United States Flay Retirement Ceremony will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. near the pavilion by the pond at Ben Gill Park. The event is hosted by the King’s Fort Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
When the United States Flag becomes worn, torn, faded or badly soiled, it should be "retired" with all the dignity and respect befitting our nation's symbol of freedom.

Please drop off any flags that need to be retired at Books and Crannies, 209 W. Moore Avenue, Sat 10 to 5. Deadline is Wednesday, July 3rd at 2pm. Or you may bring your flag to the retirement event.
On Saturday, July 6, the Tanger Outlets will be having a July 4th weekend sale and block party celebration from noon to 5 p.m.
The event will have activities, prizes, face painting, spin-to-win prize wheel, craft and coloring station and free popsicles.
For Tanger club VIP members, the first 100 Tanger club members to check-in at the Tanger lounge will receive a free summer tote.
