Woman killed in motorcycle accident
A Terrell woman died after a 1997 Saturn veered into her lane on State Highway 34 on Friday night.
Deborah Yuhasz, 52, died at the scene after the Saturn struck her Harley Davison. Yuhasz was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the eastern shoulder where she was declared dead by a Justice of the Peace, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The accident occurred at 8:35 p.m.
According to DPS reports, the accident occurred on SH 34 about five miles north of Terrell. Yuhasz was driving southbound in the company of her husband who was riding next to her. The Saturn was headed northbound when it veered into the other lane.
It is unclear at this point why the Saturn veered into the lane. A female was driving the Saturn, but further identifying information is unavailable at this time.
A brief account of the accident in the Dallas Morning News indicates that Yuhasz was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.
DPS accident investigators are pursuing the matter. It is unclear whether criminal charges will be filed.
