TPS says crime fell last month from August stats

Terrell's number of offenses reported or known to police dropped from 133 in August to 101 in September, according to Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Included in September's offenses was the double murder at Pizza Hut on Sept. 3 and two forcible rapes.
Robberies and motor vehicle thefts stayed the same at four and eight, respectively, while assaults, larceny thefts and motor vehicle thefts decreased from August to September.
Assaults dropped from 31 to 20 while burglaries slightly fell from 21 to 20 and larceny thefts lowered from 68 to 45.
Of the 20 burglaries, 13 were by forcible entry.
The value of property stolen for September also decreased from August, falling from $323,728 to $147,915 with $63,731 recovered.
