Lady Tigers turn focus to Wills Point

After losing to Commerce in straight games Friday to start the 2007 season, Terrell coach Terry Riley said she was disappointed in the Lady Tigers' performance.
If the first win of the season is to come Tuesday, Terrell (0-1) will have to put that dismal showing in the past and focus on Wills Point (1-2).
The junior varsity and freshman squads will play at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at around 6:30 p.m. in Wills Point.
Terrell was put away easily by Commerce, 25-14, 25-13, 25-14 and never led in the first two games. The Lady Tigers only lead came after scoring the first point of the third game.
Wills Point suffered a pair of losses to start the season but bounced back Friday by beating Winona to earn their first win of the year.
The Lady Tigers had opened the season with a four-game loss to Mabank and a five-game loss to Ennis.
Other volleyball action in Kaufman County on Tuesday has Crandall (6-2) hosting a dual match against Rockwall-Heath and Lindale, Forney (3-4) traveling to Kennedale, Kaufman (3-3) facing Mineola at home and Scurry-Rosser hosting Ennis St. John.
The Lady Pirates won four matches during the Garland ISD tournament on Friday and Saturday, topping Royse City, Garland, Rowlett and Tyler John Tyler.
Forney went 3-2 at the same tournament with wins over Lakeview Centennial, Mesquite and John Tyler.
After a 2-0 start, Kaufman (3-3) suffered a loss to Ennis on Friday then dropped two of three at the Van tournament Saturday.
The Lady Lions defeated Gladewater but lost to Gilmer and Eustace.
Scurry-Rosser was scheduled to play in the Grandview tournament Thursday and Saturday with a match against Crossroads on Friday. No results have been reported.
