College Mound UMC ready for 20th annual event

College Mound United Methodist Church will host its annual Lord's Acre auction and dinner on Saturday. The event will begin with a barbecue dinner and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. and a live auction beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the door or from any College Mound church member.
The 20th annual event, chaired by Dona Elder, will feature more than 625 items.
Items in the live auction include a handcrafted hog trap, a 1994 Cutlass Sierra and Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars tickets. The silent auction will include jewelry, baked goods, handcrafted items, permanent makeup, a tennis ball autographed by Roger Federer and more than 75 gift certificates to area restaurants and merchants.
