BILLY CHARLES AMELUNKE
Billy Charles Amelunke, 59, of Terrell, passed away Sept. 30, 2008. Charles was born Oct. 11, 1948 to Ernest and Doris Amelunke.
He was a longtime ambulance driver, EMT, paramedic, emergency medical technician teacher and, most recently, dispatcher for TLC Emergency Services. He was an instrumental part of implementation of the paramedic program for Terrell and will be remembered by the EMTs and paramedics that he taught, most of which are still in service today. Charles also coached the Terrell Youth Football League, umpired softball and baseball and refereed football for the greater North Texas area. He was a proud member of the officiant leagues ASA and TASO.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Doris. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Amelunke, daughter, Megan Amelunke; parents-in-law, Frank and Lela Morris; brother-in-law, Bruce Morris and wife, Sandy; nieces, Kristyn Eldridge and husband, Jason and Jennifer Morris; uncles: Walter Amelunke and wife, Christine and Bill Buck and wife, Doris as well as several cousins, extended family and his many friends at TLC, all of whom admired him greatly and will miss him.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel, 301 W. Nash, in Terrell.
