The Food Box program in which boxes of produce were distributed to the public on Friday at the Tanger Outlet Mall and on Saturday at Rafter J Cowboy Church has ended.

Distribution will not occur today or Saturday.

“We had intended to give away every Saturday in June, but the supplier has ran out of product and we will not be able to bless the community this coming Saturday,” said Andy Goldring, an organizer at the Rafter J Cowboy Church site.

Rafter J hosted the program for five Saturdays and was able to give away 3,500 boxes or 60,000 pounds of produce to help the American farmers and local residents, according to Goldring.
