The Terrell ExCEL, which was closed to the public in March 2020 in response to the pandemic, is reopening on Monday, March 22, TISD announced.
ExCEL Fitness Center members who had active key cards at the time of the shutdown in March 2020 will be reactivated beginning Monday, March 22.
All Fitness Center members will be required to submit a new background check (the link to complete this step online is forthcoming). Members have until April 15 to complete this. Failure to complete by April 15 will result in membership deactivation. If you need assistance completing this step, computers will be available at ExCEL.
Current members will not need to repay their annual $10 key card fee until January 2022. Going forward annual renewal will take place in January as opposed to August. It will also be able to be completed online.
Terrell residents ages 50 and up and spouses of TISD staff members wanting to apply for a new Fitness Center membership can do so beginning March 22. The link for new member applications will be posted on the ExCEL webpage by that date.
ExCEL Fitness Center hours will be Monday - Friday from 5 a.m. -8 a.m. and 4 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 5 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday noon-9 p.m.
