The Terrell ISD Board of Trustees selected Dr. Georgeanne Warnock as the lone

finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools during a special meeting on Tuesday,

November 19. Dr. Warnock currently serves in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD as the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services.

“I am incredibly honored to serve as the next Terrell ISD Superintendent of Schools, and I am grateful to the Board of Trustees for the opportunity,” Warnock said. “We will continue to build excellence and innovation for each child in Terrell with collaboration, community

partnerships, family engagement, and a ‘students first’ mindset.  There is a rich legacy and tradition in Terrell, and a bright future ahead.  With great enthusiasm, we look forward to joining the Terrell community.”

Dr. Warnock holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Trinity University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas, a Master of Education in Education Administration from the University of North Texas, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.

She is expected to begin her duties in Terrell on Jan. 6.
