The Kaufman County Jr. Livestock Show and Kaufman County Fair will be held Feb. 24 to March 2 at the Kaufman County Fairgrounds located at TX-34 in Kaufman.
On Sunday, Feb. 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., judging all art/crafts and horticulture will take place.
On Tuesday, Feb. 26, the county fair talent division and food entries will be due from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Grounds open at 4 p.m. Food entries will be judged at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the commercial breeding Does and registered Boer Does and Breeding Sheep check in will be at 9 a.m. The commercial breeding Does and registered Boer Does Show and Breeding Sheep Show will be at 10 a.m. The market rabbit show followed by breeding rabbit show will be at noon. Heifers, steers, swine, sheep, market goats will be in place at 3 p.m. The swine weigh-in will be at 3 p.m. The sheep weigh-in followed by market goats will be at 5 p.m. The steer weigh-in will be at 7 p.m. The heifer check-in will be at 7 p.m. The talent division open viewing will be at from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On Thursday, Feb. 28, broilers will be in place at 8 a.m. Shop projects in place will be at 9 a.m. The Broiler show will be at 9 a.m. The beef heifer show will be at 11 a.m. and the commercial heifer show will follow the beef heifer show. The swine show will be at 4 p.m. The talent division open viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On Friday, March 1, the dairy goats in place will be at 8 a.m. The market lamb show will be at 8 a.m. and the market goat show will follow the market lambs. The shop judging will be at 2 p.m. The steer show will be at 6 p.m. The talent division open viewing will be at from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On Saturday, March 2, the pick-up talent division entries will be at 10 a.m. The auction set-up/check-in will be at 10 a.m. The appreciation bar-b-que will be at noon. The award ceremony will be at 2 p.m. The auction beings at 2:30 p.m.
