Retail operations at the Terrell Post Office have been temporarily suspended due to unforeseen damages; however, delivery services have resumed.

Retail operations will resume as quickly as possible, the U.S. Postal Service said Thursday.

The Post Office building on Hwy. 34 in Terrell sustained weather-related damage, but the USPS did not comment on the nature or extent of the damage.

“The U.S. Postal Service considers the safety of its employees and customers among its highest priorities. When events such as winter weather occur, we make thoughtful decisions regarding delivery and retail operations. While services may be impacted in some areas due to recent storms, the Postal Service makes every attempt to deliver to all addresses, as long as it is safe to do so. We also strive to provide retail services, again with safety in mind. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience that may have been experienced and appreciate their patience as we work to successfully resolve this matter. Customers can check for Service Alerts on our website for the latest information on retail and delivery in their area.”
