On Monday, Natalie Parker, 37 of Forney, surrendered herself to the custody of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers.
Parker has been charged with tampering with witness, injury to child both of which are second degree felonies, and abandoning or endangering a child, a state jail felony.
Deputies were dispatched to Parker’s residence in the 2000 block of Chisholm Trail in Forney on Dec. 29 after receiving a 911 call reporting an unresponsive infant. The infant, a 5-month-old female was determined to be deceased upon the arrival of EMS. During the investigation, it was learned that there were a total of six children in the residence; Parker was the foster parent of the infant and four other children who include the brother to the deceased infant.
Parker’s 19-year-old son Christian Richmond also lived in the residence. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services were notified at which time the remaining foster children were removed from Parker’s custody. The autopsy of the infant is pending. During the investigation, child pornography was found on Richmond’s phone. Richmond was arrested on Jan. 3 for Possession of child pornography, a third degree felony. Investigators do not believe these charges are related to the infant’s death. Richmond posted a $15,000 bond on 1/4/2019.
