Below summaries of actions from July 23 meeting of the Terrell City Council meeting.
- In public hearing The Terrell City Council gave its approval of a Replat of lots 2R and 3R, Block 190 and Lots 2R, Block 191, Irvine Addition. The lots will be approximately 65’ x 128’ in size. The properties are currently zoned as Single Family 6 districts. The properties will be used for residential structures. The location is at 1011 South Frances.
- The Terrell City Council gave its approval of Ordinance No. 2782 amending appendix 2, zoning ordinance by changing a portion of a planned development created under the provisions of ordinance No. 2232 by permitting a patio on the back of a residence that extends past the ten foot set back rule on certain property more particularly described as Lot 10, Tower Circle Addition located at 119 Tower Circle. The property is currently zoned Planned Development utilized as single‐family residences. The applicant plans to construct a residence on the property and would like to amend the current Planned Development overlay established by Ordinance No. 2232 for Tower Circle in order to reduce the rear yard setback for Lot 10, out of the Tower Circle Addition.
- The Terrell City Council gave its approval of Ordinance No. 2781 amending appendix 2, zoning ordinance by changing the zoning classification on certain real property described as Lot C, Block 349 located at 504 Fox Street. The property is currently zoned Retail and has been sitting vacant over the last few years. The applicant purchased the property and would like to rezone it to Single Family 7.5 to use the property as a residence.
- In new business, the Terrell City Council approved a bid for Convenience Station Crossing. On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., a total of three (3) bids were received. All bids were complete and qualified. The low‐bidder for the project was La Banda, LLC of Dallas, Texas. La Banda's low bid was $363,225.00.
