Cedar Creek Lake Area Day
Was a great experience announcing House Resolution 174 on Feb. 4 officially declaring Feb. 4 as Cedar Creek Lake Area Day at the Texas State Capitol. We had a busy day full of activities in Austin, I was honored to meet with everyone who made the trip.
On Feb. 6, I was able to commemorate another vital part of HD-4 via House Resolution 175, declaring Feb. 6, Athens Day at the Texas State Capitol. Another excellent day of meetings, tours and activities with some of the great people of Athens.
Doctor of the Day
It was an honor to introduce my good friend, Dr. Doug Curran as the state's official "Doctor of the Day" in front of the House of Representatives. Dr. Curran is the President of the Texas Medical Association and is passionate about access to rural medicine and hospitals, we are lucky to have one of the nation's best doctors right down the street.
Trinity Valley Electric Co-Op
Happy to meet with members of the Trinity Valley Electric Co-Op on Feb. 5 as they came down for their annual statewide meeting at the Capitol.
This week I filed 2 separate bills. H.B.1261 relates to a presumption that applies to certain conduct involving certain controlled substances that endangers a child, and H.B.1262 discusses extended registration of certain vehicles not subject to inspection.
