The Terrell Police Department held its annual awards ceremony to honor police officers, staff and volunteers for service to the Terrell Police Department on Thursday, March 7 inside the Rosenbaum Room at the Terrell Police Headquarters.

During the awards ceremony, Terrell Chief of Police Ken McKeown and the Terrell Police Department Command Staff issued 24 letters in file, three civilian certificates of excellence, four certificates of merit, two police commendations, awarding the civilian of the year for 2018, awarding the unit of the year for 2018 and awarding the supervisor of the year for 2018.

The Unit of the Year was awarded to Property Division. Jason Whitworth and Dave Thomas accepted the award for Property Division. Shift 300 received a nomination for Unit of the Year.

The Civilian of the Year was awarded to David Thomas. Janee Gentry received a nomination for Civilian of the Year.

The Certificate of Merit was awarded to Thomas, James Melton and Jason Tidwell.

The Police Commendation was awarded to Marcella Cobb, Tina Smallwood and Jason Whitworth.

The Certificate of Excellence was awarded to Thomas, Jennifer Aldridge and Gentry.

The Supervisor of the Year was awarded to Michael Bulin.

The following 24 people received at letter in file: Dave Bridges, Victoria Scott, Lora Allison, Marcella Cobb, Heather Garcia, Dock Ballard, Jordan Yates, Robert Lavin, Theresa Sommers, Trent Fisher, Travis Williams, Jason Tidwell, R.J. Waters, Guadalupe Gonzales, C.J. White, Zachary Boyd, Damon Kelley, Nate Hauger, Dave Bridges, Jason Whitworth, Brenda Bulin and Cody Seabolt.
