Two appointments were been made to the Tax Increment Finance Board, two appointments were made to the Power Center Board and two appointments were made to the Terrell Park Board.

John Davidson and Don Thurman have been re-appointed to the Tax Increment Finance Board. Davidson was also elected as chairman to the Tax Increment Finance Board. Both of their terms expired on Feb. 27.

The Tax Increment Finance Board and Power Center Board generally have the same members.

Katie Smith was re-appointed to the Terrell Park Board. Smith’s terms were on track to end in March.

Terrell Park Board member Mayrani Velazquez resigned as a member of the Terrell Park Board received the Park Board. Velazquez served on the Park Board for three years from Jan. 2016 to Feb. 10.

Matthew Malone was appointed to the Terrell Park Board to take the seat of Velazquez.

“While serving as a member of the board, I've had the opportunity to advocate for our community members park needs and partake in the creation of the Park Master Plan. I leave the board with certainty that the Terrell Park Board along with your leadership will continue to advocate for our community members park needs. I am glad thatI could be a small part of the success. However, I can no longer meet the time commitment required as a board member,” Velazquez said in her resignation letter.
