TEDC donation

Terrell Economic Development Corporation chairman Rick Carmona, left, presents a $100,000 check to Terrell High School Career and Tech Director Rhonda Knight, right in the manufacturing lab at the Career-Tech Center.

The TISD Education Foundation was thrilled to accept a $100,000 donation from the Terrell Economic Development Corporation.

TEDC chairman, Rick Carmona, and TEDC president, Dawn Steil, presented the check to Rhonda Knight, the new Career & Tech Director for Terrell High School.

The presentation was made in the manufacturing lab at the Career-Tech Center.

The Foundation and the TEDC have been close partners since the inception of the Foundation in 2008.

Over the years, the TEDC has donated a little over $587,000.  The funds have been used to develop various departments in the Career & Technical areas of THS.

As a result, Terrell students are gaining marketable skills in such areas as welding, manufacturing, engineering, auto mechanics, health-science, etc.
