The 2016-17 Texas Academic Performance Report was released for each Terrell Independent School District campus.

The TAPR provides performance information for every public school and district in the state. The reports combine details of student performance, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness for each school district and its campuses.

Terrell High School earned two distinctions for academic achievement in mathematics and finished in the top 25 percent in student progress. Distinctions are earned based on the number of indicators by category the school scores in the top quartile of the comparison group.

Student performance combines academic achievement in English Language Arts, reading, mathematics, science, social studies. The student performance state target score for each district and campus is 60. All Terrell ISD campuses met standard under this category.

Terrell ISD achieved a student performance target score of 66, Terrell High School earned a 74 target score, Furlough Middle School earned a target score of 63, Long Elementary earned a target score of 64, Wood Elementary earned a target score of 62.

Student progress measures the growth of reading, math and writing from the 2016-17 school year to the 2015-16 school year. All Terrell ISD campuses met standard under this category.

Terrell ISD achieved a target score of 38 with a state target score of 22, Terrell High School earned a target score of 26 with a state target score of 17, Furlough Middle School earned a target score of 41 with the state target score of 30, Long Elementary earned a target score 41 with a state target score of 32, Wood Elementary earned a target score of 36 with a state target score of 32.

The closing performance gaps measures the economic disadvantaged and the two lowest performance groups in the prior year. All Terrell ISD campuses met standard under this category

Terrell ISD achieved a target score of 35 with a state target score of 28, Terrell High School earned a target score of 42 with a state target score of 30, Furlough Middle School earned a target score of 33 with the state target score of 26, Long Elementary earned a target score 33 with a state target score of 28, Wood Elementary earned a target score of 33 with a state target score of 28.

Postsecondary readiness measures graduation, drop out rate, graduation plan, SAT, ACT, TSI, dual credit and CTE coherent sequence. All Terrell ISD campuses met standard under this category.

Terrell ISD achieved a target score of 77 with a state target score of 60, Terrell High School earned a target score of 82 with a state target score of 60, Furlough Middle School earned a target score of 33 with the state target score of 13, Long Elementary earned a target score 29 with a state target score of 12, Wood Elementary earned a target score of 29 with a state target score of 12.
