Celebrating 16 years of outstanding family style entertainment at its very best, the E! Terrell Entertainment Series kicks off the 2018-19 concert season with high-energy rock ‘n roll hits performed by the Buddy Holly tribute band “Not Fade Away” on Thursday, Sept. 20th. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. at the Terrell Independent School District Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center located at 400 Poetry Road in Terrell.
One of the true pioneers of rock n’ roll, Buddy Holly’s legendary song-writing skills and performance bravura influenced numerous musicians and entertainers of the 1950s and 60s including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and many others.
Having played with many standard tribute shows over the years, “Not Fade Away” has created a new show that keeps the music relevant, gives it an authentic edge, and brings it into today’s music scene while not forgetting the importance of the music’s place in rock n’ roll history.
“Not Fade Away” was selected by E! Terrell’s cadre of talent scouts because of its authenticity according to E! Terrell spokesman Dana Skelton. “This is a concert that will appeal to everyone. Tributes to the Big Bopper and Richie Valens are also part of this highly entertaining show.”
As an all-volunteer, non-profit 501©3 organization, the E! Terrell Entertainment Series is committed to widening cultural and entertainment horizons for those residing in the Terrell and Northeast Texas area. Thanks to the generosity of numerous Patrons and Sponsors, these concerts can be offered at family friendly prices. For ticket information, call 972-563-5703, or visit the E!
