Terrell Mayor Rick Carmona issued a proclamation for the Kaufman County Veterans Memorialization Group during the City of Terrell regular city council meeting on Tuesday night.

Carmona proclaimed July 23, 2019 as Veterans of Kaufman County History Project Appreciation Day in Terrell.

The Veterans of Kaufman County history project was established to maintain and pass on the history of service to the United States of America. The mission of the veterans of Kaufman County History Project is to respect, recognize and remember veterans through oral histories and commemorative displays.

Rod Kinkaid and Shelley Kolman-Smith were present to accept the Proclamation from Mayor Rick Carmona.

“All of use owe a debt of gratitude to members of the armed forces and it’s always appropriate to pause, remember and say thank you to the military,” Carmona said.
