Mary Beth Dudley

Mary Beth Dudley, born in Cleburne, Texas, December 10th, 1928 passed away on May 23rd, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Lizzie Boone and Ralph Casey Richardson, and her beloved husband of 32 years, Travis Eugene Dudley.

Mary Beth was a Registered Nurse (RN) working for many years as an Office RN, Director of Nursing at Medical Arts Hospital, Surgery Supervisor at the VA hospital, and Post Anesthesia Unit Supervisor. After retirement, she worked with the Kaufman County Visiting Nurses Association as a Hospice Volunteer.

Mary Beth had a zest for life; was fond of butterflies and the color blue. She was lovingly called ‘feisty’ by many. One nurse close to her stated, “I will always remember her beautiful smile and the nurse in her.” When using her walker it was hard to keep up with her, in spite of many attempts to slow her down. Ms. Dudley was an active and faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Terrell enjoying teaching Sunday School and singing church hymns.

She is survived by children, grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. A private memorial service is scheduled for family and friends at 0930 July 25th on the porch of First United Methodist of Terrell, Texas. The graveside inurnment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Poetry, Tx. Services will be streamed live. If attending, please dress casual and wear a face mask. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church of Terrell.
