Evalyn Henderson Crouch, 94, of Terrell, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2020. Evalyn was born on March 5, 1925 in Goldthwaite, Texas to Floyd and Nora (Ross) Henderson of Terrell, Texas. She was welcomed into Heaven by not only her Lord and Savior but also her parents and sisters, Emily Springer and Beth Vance. After graduating from Terrell High School, she worked at American National Bank for 10 years. During that time, she married her soulmate, James F. Crouch on October 24, 1947 in Terrell. A devoted woman of faith, Evalyn was an active member of First Baptist Church, Terrell, serving many years as a teacher and director in the children’s division and worked in Vacation Bible School every summer. Seeing children learn about Jesus and instilling a Christian foundation was of most importance in her life. Along with her devotion to children’s Sunday School, she had a passion for the Friends In Touch Ministry at FBC, Terrell, and enjoyed her time ministering to others. Her favorite past times were reading and spending time with family. Her most admired characteristics were her permanent smile, being an excellent listener, putting others first and above all else her love for Jesus. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, James Crouch; sons: Keith Crouch and wife, Sarah, and Paul and wife, Phyllis; grandchildren, Ashley Allen and husband, Daniel, Mary Dorn and husband Scott, Holly Morrison and husband, Matt, and Amy Irvin and husband, Jeremy; great grandchildren, Kaley Allen, Caleb Morrison, Avery Allen, Natalie Irvin, Noah Morrison, Abigail Irvin, and Reese Kirkham-Dorn, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Evalyn’s family will receive friends at 10:00am, Saturday, January 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 403 N. Catherine, Terrell, 75160 with her funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park Cemetery in Terrell.
