Seeing the growth and development across the community of Terrell is a wonderful sight to see everyday.

I’ve been employed with the Terrell Tribune since July 2015 and during the last four years, all Terrell has done is get bigger, grow and continue to evolve itself.

When I first drove through Terrell on FM 148 near Interstate 20. The biggest known commodity in that area was Buc-ee’s, which is a great company to have in a town.

But Terrell didn’t stop there.

Shortly after that, Dairy Queen, Whataburger, Star Bucks Coffee, Taco Cabana and Discount Tire was constructed across the street from Buc-ee’s.

But Terrell didn’t stop there.

It added the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot hotel near the locations listed above on FM 148.  Next door to the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot is Tru By Hilton.

But Terrell didn’t stop there.

Across the street from the locations listed above on FM 148, Panda Express, Chipotle, Taco Bueno, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Streakburgers and Chick-fil-A, were all constructed.

But Terrelll didn’t stop there.

Film Alley was constructed and it become a go to spot in Terrell for entertainment.

But Terrell didn’t stop there.

Along with Film Alley, the rest of the Crossroads is being developed. Stores like Petco, Marshalls, ULTA Beauty, Burkes Outlet, Rack Room Shoes, Five Below, Ross Dress For Less, Hobby Lobby, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Mint Dentistry, T-Mobile, Sports Clips, Spec’s and America’s Best Vision will all be located near each other in the Crossroads.

But Terrell didn’t stop there.

As more food locations will be built that consist of Olive Garden, Chili’s, Raising Cane’s, Menchie’s Yogurt, and Chiangmai Thai.

It’s great to see the development in this area as I drive past it everyday.

Terrell ISD is growing as well as the Global Leadership Academy will start its first school year in August.

The City of Terrell’s downtown and parks will also grow in the future.

My message: Never stop Terrell, keep growing because it’s been great to see you develop.
