The Terrell High School varsity baseball team is coming off three straight losses in games played against Prairiland, Wills Point and Community Feb. 28 to March 2.
Terrell is 3-6 overall.
Terrell lost 7-2 to Mount Vernon on Feb. 28. Mount Vernon scored four runs in the first two innings. Mount Vernon scored two runs in the third inning and one run in the fourth inning.
Ivan Ibarra and Beau Smith each scored a run for Terrell. Ibarra also had a run batted in.
Jason Gomez finished the game with two hits.
Terrell lost 9-6 to Prairiland. Terrell’s Ibarra and Dylan Tyler each scored one run in the first inning to give Terrell a 2-0 lead.
Prairiland would go on to score three runs in the first inning, one run in the second inning, three runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning.
Terrell scored two runs in the fourth and fifth inning each.
Tyler and Lane Wadsworth each scored a run in the fourth inning. Ibarra and Preston Rangel each scored a run in the fifth inning.
Wadsworth finished the game with three runs batted in. Gomez had two runs batted in and Colby Haas had one run batted in.
Terrell lost 5-1 to Wills Point. Wills Point scored two runs in the second and third inning then scored one run in the fifth inning. Terrell scored its lone run in the sixth inning.
Tyler scored the lone run for Terrell in the sixth inning. Tyler also had two hits to lead the team.
