The Terrell High School varsity baseball team played The Colony and lost 7-1 on Thursday, April 18 and lost to Poteet 7-6 on Tuesday, April 23 at Ben Gill Park.
Terrell is 9-18 overall. Terrell played its last game of the regular season on Friday, April 26 at Poteet High School.
Against Poteet, Terrell trailed 7-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning but managed to score five runs to cut the score to 7-6.
Rangel hit a ground ball and reached base on a Poteet error that allowed Arbogast and Trey Lunsford to score. Later, Gomez singled and that allowed Ivan Ibarra and Preston Rangel to score to put the score at 7-5.
Wadsworth hit a ground out that allowed Gomez to score to put Terrell within one run.
Poteet ended the game with a strikeout while Terrell had two runners on base.
Terrell scored its first run in the second inning when Ibarra singled to center field that allowed Haas to score.
Each team finished the game with eight hits each. Three errors were committed by Poteet and two errors were committed by Terrell.
Rangel and Gomez each had two runs batted in. Wadsworth and Ibarra had one run batted in.
Rangel, Gomez, Haas, Arbogast, Ibarra and Lunsford each scored one run for Terrell.
Against The Colony, Terrell scored its lone run in the third inning on a run scored by Jason Gomez after a Logan Wadsworth double.
The Colony scored its first run in the second inning, scored three more runs in the third inning, scored two runs in the fourth inning and one run in the sixth inning.
Terrell ended the game with five hits and The Colony had seven hits.
Terrell had six errors and The Colony committed zero.
Gomez, Wadsworth, Khalid Johnson, Colby Haas and Preston Rangel each had one hit.
