The Terrell High School varsity baseball team beat Lancaster 6-5 on Friday, April 12 at Ben Gill Park.
Terrell is 9-16 overall and 4-8 in district.
Terrell scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to wipe out a 5-4 Lancaster lead.
The game was tied at 5-5 with Terrell batting in the bottom of the sixth inning when Ivan Ibarra drew a walk that scored Austin Arbogast.
Terrell’s Trey Lunsford scored to tied the game at 5-5 after an error by Lancaster.
Lancaster scored in the top of the first inning to go up 1-0.
Terrell tied the game at 1-1 when Preston Rangel scored on a run batted in by Logan Wadsworth.
Terrell went up 2-1 in the bottom of the first inning when Kahlid Johnson scored on a wild pitch.
Johnson was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the second inning that allowed Ibarra to score to give Terrell a 3-1 lead.
Lancaster scored once in the third inning to make the score 3-2.
Terrell extended its lead to 4-2 after Wadsworth singled that allowed Hunter Robertson to score.
Lancaster took the lead at 5-5 in the top of the sixth inning.
Terrell finished the game with four hits and Lancaster had five hits. Lancaster had four errors and Terrell had two.
Johnson finished the game with one run and one run batted in. Rangel, Jason Gomez, Wadsworth and Johnson each had a hit for Terrell.
