The Terrell High School varsity baseball team ended its regular season with a 9-2 loss to Poteet on Friday, April 26 at Poteet High School.

Terrell finishes its season with a 9-19 overall record and a 5-8 district record.

Poteet scored in every inning but the fifth inning with one run scored in the first, two runs scored in the second, three runs scored in the third, one run scored in the fourth and two runs scored in the sixth inning.

Terrell scored two runs after Austin Arbogast hit a double to left field that scored Jason Gomez and Logan Wadsworth.

Poteet finished the game with 15 hits while Terrell had four hits.

Wadsworth and Gomez finished the season with a team leading 16 runs batted in. Khalid Johnson had 12 runs batted in.

Dylan Tyler led the team in runs with 15, Khalid Johnson had 13 runs, Preston Rangel had 12 runs, Ivan Ibarra had 12 runs, Logan Wadsworth had 10 runs and Jason Gomez had 10 runs.

Dylan Tyler led the team with on-base plus slugging percentage with a .959 average.

Logan Wadsworth had a .528 slugging percentage to lead the team.

Jason Gomez led the team with a on-base percentage of .476.

Tyler led the team with a .403 batting average.

Johnson led the team in home runs with two.
