About five years ago, The Center in Kaufman, which provides food assistance, resources and education programs for individuals and families facing food insecurity, began discussing the need for a major fundraiser. After kicking around a number of ideas, they settled on a 5K – and after reviewing the schedule for 5Ks in Kaufman, they decided that a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning would be perfect!
Aaron Neal Flack-Turner and Celeste Cervantes were crowned Homecoming King and Queen for Trinity Valley Community College’s Terrell campus at Bruce Field in Athens on Oct. 26.
The No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum in Terrell is hosting a jazz concert featuring the Peter Rioux Trio from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 as a fundraiser for the museum. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the door. The museum will close to the public at noon to set up the concert.
1936-2024 Linda Louise Dryk, born on May 6, 1936, in Wills Point, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Mesquite, Texas. Throughout her life, Linda dedicated many years to a career in administrative work.
