Jack Kenneth Rymer, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Possum Kingdom Lake, Saturday, November 20, 2021. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11th, at Westlake Chapel at 2 p.m. McMillian-Satterwhite Funeral Home will oversee the arrangements.

Jack was born February 4, 1946, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to Kenneth Birr Rymer and Jeannette Schneider Rymer. He graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was a dedicated and hardworking insurance agent for 30 years in Terrell, Texas, where he was a partner of Rowden-Shipley-Hendricks & Rymer Insurance Agency. He was also a devoted and loyal member of the Lions Club in Terrell, Texas. He married Jeri Widner on January 18, 2003, at Possum Kingdom Lake, where they shared 21 amazing and loving years together. He was a member of the P.K. West Volunteer Fire Department, where he worked and served honorably as chief for 5 years. His family, friends, and loved ones were the most important things in his life, and he will be dearly missed by all.

Jack Rymer is survived by his wife Jeri, two daughters: Meagan Rymer and Kristi Rymer-Smith (husband Jeremy Smith), three step-children: Tony Widner, Kelli Walker and Ricky Widner, two sisters: Judy Barrett and Sharon Stewart (husband Shelly), two grandchildren: Chloe and Noah, six step grandchildren: Whitney, Courtney, Trey, Brittany, Sydney and Laney, and nine great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
