Robert Lowell Ottman

Body

Robert Lowell Ottman, age 82, entered into rest on March 23, 2021 at his home in Prosser, WA.  He was born on August 21, 1938 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Robert and June (Harvey) Ottman, the youngest of eight children.  He graduated from Fruita High School in the Grand Valley where he grew up and married Bettie Seay in 1960. Bob and Bettie had two children, Vanesa Blasdel and husband John of Paterson, Washington and Byron Ottman and wife Jo of Edgewood, Texas.

Wilbur Rollins

Body

Wilbur Rollins was born December 15, 1944 in Terrell, Texas. He served in the US Air Force from 1965-1969. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1981 and returned to Texas in 1997. His health began to decline significantly in 2016. Through his health struggles, he persevered and beat the odds, time and time again. He fell asleep in death on Friday, March 12, 2021.

Betty Sue Cruise LaRoe

Body

Betty Sue Cruise LaRoe, 89, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend went back to the Lord on Monday February 15, 2021. She was born in 1931 in Terrell, Texas to Maud Lois Sharrock Cruise and Sidney Lanier Cruise, both of Terrell, Texas, as their 3rd child. She attended Terrell schools, was Drum Major and Football Queen and graduated Terrell High School in 1948.  She was crowned Vetch Queen in Kaufman County’s then annual Vetch Festival. In 1954, she married, her husband of 46 years, James K.

Tommy (Thomas) Ross Bell

Body

Tommy (Thomas) Ross Bell, 73, passed peacefully in the arms of his family on Sunday, February 28, 2021.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Hampton Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel, Wichita Falls, TX, with interment to follow at Crestview Memorial Park.  Pastor Jon Curry of Grace Community Church will officiate.

Ole “Martin” Mjaaland

Body

Ole “Martin” Mjaaland, 69, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2021. Born to parents James and Nancy Mjaaland in Kaufman, Texas on April 6, 1951. He is survived by his daughter Heather Meehan and husband Rich, and grandson, Jake Meehan of Atlanta, GA. A graduate of Kaufman High School, Martin went on to be a Journeyman Electrician, working commercially for Hargrove Electric until his retirement. He loved drag boat racing, NASCAR, classic cars, his many fur babies, but most of all being with his friends who he considered to be his extended family. 

Danny Ray Hendrickson

Body

Danny Ray Hendrickson was born on May 14, 1961, in Alamogordo, NM, to parents, Alva Durwood Hendrickson and Christa M. Rummel Hendrickson. In the early part of his life he was raised in Baytown, TX, and then his adolescent years in the Lake Tawakoni area. He later moved to Edgewood two years ago. Danny married Tammy Draughon on Valentine’s Day in 1996, and they were married for 25 years. He raised his step-son and step-daughter, Jacob and Jennifer. Danny worked as a sheet rocker and painter in the construction industry for many years.

Mary "Dana" Spencer

Body

Mary "Dana" Spencer, 74, of Alexandria IN, passed away, peacefully surrounded by family on February 11, 2021, at Community Hospital Anderson, IN. She was born on July 6, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Lane High School, Charlottesville, VA, received her bachelor's degree from the University of NC, Greensboro, and her master's degree from the University of Illinois.  She retired as IT manager at Terrell State Hospital in Terrell, TX.

William Curtis (Bill) Nichols

ARLINGTON, TEXAS - William Curtis (Bill) Nichols died at his home in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  He was born on November 19, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert L. (Bob) Nichols and Frances Hardison Nichols.  He was a devoted son, providing care for both of his parents as they aged.

George Lee Purnell

George Lee Purnell, age 91, of Terrell, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 with family at his side. George was born December 27, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to Carl and Lydia Purnell both of whom preceded him in death along with his wife Evelyn Lee Purnell, niece, Doris Hugley, sister, Nanny Hugley and great grandson, Carter Rylan Purnell. George graduated from Sunset High School in Oakcliff, Texas, class of 1947 and studied at the University of North Texas. In 1953 he married the love of his life Evelyn Lee and they were married for 56 years.

Wesley Marvin Fleetwood, Jr.

Body

Wesley Marvin Fleetwood, Jr., Rockwall resident and formerly of Terrell, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2021 with family at his side. Marvin was born on September 3, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA to Wesley, Sr., and Rachel Fleetwood, both of whom preceded him in death. Marvin enlisted, and proudly served, in the US Navy until his honorable discharge in 1957. On November 6, 1955, he married Margaretta Michie in Terrell and together they made their home in Terrell and raised a family until their move to Rockwall.
