County hears of behavioral authority programs

ashlee@themonitor.net The North Texas Behavioral Authority (NTBHA) presented services and programs offered to the Kaufman County Commissioners during the April 23 meeting. NTBHA is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with partner organizations Child and Family Guidance Center, Homeward Bound, and Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare. NTBHA provides quality mental and behavioral health services for individuals, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence and/or their experience of homelessness. NTBHA will waive or reduce fees for those experiencing financial hardship, according to equitable use of the sliding fee discount schedule provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Rotary Club makes special cookie delivery

Rotary Club of Terrell delivered cookies made by its members, cups from Starbucks, courtesy of Starbucks of Terrell on Highway 34 and cookies donated by Terrell’s own Whisked Away to both the Terrell PD Dispatchers as well as the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers as part of a service project April 18. April 14-20 was declared Public Safety Communicators Week by Governor Greg Abbott. Pictured are dispatchers for Kaufman County, excited to be receiving their gifts.
