County tax sales to go online Nov. 1

Delinquent tax foreclosure sales in Kaufman County are moving from live, in-person sales to the world wide web. Starting in November, all tax foreclosure sales will exclusively be conducted online, beginning with the county’s upcoming tax sale tentatively scheduled for November 1, 2022. Tax sales have historically been conducted in-person on the steps of the courthouse.

HOMECOMING FESTIVITIES

Terrell ISD celebrated Homecoming Friday night prior to their game against the visiting Crandall Pirates. Audacoius Lewis and Dakota Rucker were announced as the 2022 Terrell ISD Homecoming Queen and King respectively. Other members of the Terrell ISD Homecoming Court members introduced included: Merary Armendariz, Esmeralda Nunez, Madison Bolluyt and Evelyn Ramirez, THS Homecoming Queen nominees; Colton Brunke, Ryan Martinez, Alusine Fofanah and Braylon Gardner, THS Homecoming King nominees; Daxton Smith and AnJell Hart, Junior Duke and Duchess; Oswaldo Puebla and Brianna Strambler, Sophomore Duke and Duchess; and Austin Meetze and Aliah Velazquez, Freshman Duke and Duchess.

Tiger Alley event planned for home finale

The largest outdoor pre-game party ever is coming to Terrell Tiger fans this November. New this year, “Tiger Alley” is a free event designed to bring the entire community together prior to the last home football game. The outdoor party will kick off at 5 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Terrell ISD ExCEL Center located at 1251 Colquitt Rd, and will feature carnival style food from Hickory Roots, numerous outdoor games and live DJ music.
