Riders receive warm welcome on cross-country trek

DAVID KAPITAN editor@terrelltribune.com Mother Nature made its presence known during last year’s Run for the Wall stop in Terrell, bringing less than ideal conditions as hundreds of riders and participants passed through the area in an effort to raise awareness for several causes related to veterans and their families. Things would prove to be markedly different when longtime and new riders returned to Terrell, greeted May 21 with warmer temperatures, no rain and comfortable cloud cover.

Early voting to begin in runoff election

DAVID KAPITAN editor@terrelltribune.com Eligible residents in District 5 will have another opportunity to have their voices heard beginning next week with the early voting for the lone contested city council seat in this year’s election cycle set to begin again. This year’s election cycle began in earnest back in January with candidate filing for two positions on the Terrell City Council and three positions on the Terrell ISD Board of Trustees potentially up for grabs in May.
