Terrell has a new centenarian in its community as Opal Irene Darr Thomas celebrated her 100th birthday on Sept. 1.

Kaufman County Community United welcomes new citizens Azucena Salazar, Inocente Alvarado and Luis M. Castillo to the City of Terrell at the Terrell City Council meeting Aug.

The Terrell Tigers cross country teams got their 2023 season underway at the Running with the Lions meet in Kaufman Aug. 26 at the Kaufman Sports Complex.

The Terrell Tigers began the 2023 season on a winning note as they topped the Hallsville Bobcats on the road Aug. 25.

For the past several months, I’ve been writing a great deal about fishing. I love to fish and I love eating fish but I also enjoy fresh pork! Summer is obviously the time of year when hunting usually takes a back seat to angling. I get that. But even during the heat of summer, I long for cooler weather and the opportunity to once again head to the woods in pursuit of adventure and meat for the freezer.
