A celebration of life for Donna Lea Edmonds, 67, of Terrell, was held 2 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Donna Lea Lackie was born on May 7, 1954, in Amarillo, to parents Harold and Polly Lackie. She was raised in McAlester, OK, where she graduated from high school in 1972. Donna attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah.

She married Fred Edmonds in Dallas, on April 7, 1984, and they made their home in Lake Highlands. She and Fred moved to Terrell in the year 2001. Donna retired as a Sr. Marketing Representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Availity. Donna was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid Texas Ranger Baseball fan. Donna loved shopping, making crafts and had a real talent for decorating.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Polly Lackie; brother, Hal Lackie.

Donna is survived by her husband, Fred Edmonds of Terrell, TX; sister, Paula Walker of Ridgedale, MO; sisters-in-law, Sandy Lackie of Chesapeake, VA; brother-in-law, Lee “Red” Edmonds and wife, Rhonda of Bedias, TX; and sister-in-law, Cindy Boone, and husband, Derek of Mesquite, TX; niece and nephews, Aaron Walker, Christopher Lackie, Justin Edmonds, Emily Boone, and Brett Boone; along with numerous cousins, family members, and friends.
