Jonathan David Pikett peacefully went home to be with his Lord in the early hours of Saturday, February 24, 2024, after a 10 month battle with cancer. He was being cared for at Baylor Scott and White Pickens Cancer Hospital in Dallas.

Jonathan was born May 20, 1979, in Longview, Texas to William H. Pikett and Sandra S. Pikett, both currently of Waco, Texas. Jonathan is survived by his wife Angela R. Pikett and seven precious children. He is also survived by his father, William Pikett, mother, Sandra Pikett, sister, Melissa Woodruff and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jonathan was preceded in death by a brother, William “Billy” Pikett.

Jonathan graduated as the salutatorian of Parkview Christian Academy and also was a first team all-state athlete. He then went on and graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2002 with a degree in engineering. Jonathan met Angela in college, and they married on May 31, 2003, last year celebrating 20 years.

Jonathan started his engineering career with Nucor Steel Corp in Terrell, Texas where his brother William “Billy” Pikett also worked. Then he moved to Georgia to work for American Buildings Corp, a division of Nucor, as a salesman and manager. In 2014, Jonathan and his family moved back to Terrell to work at the Nucor plant where he started in 2002 and continued as a vital part of the Nucor family as sales service manager.

Jonathan was well loved and highly respected by his family, his church family, his work family and his community as a leader. He will be sorely missed.
