Richard Wayne Webster, 75, of Terrell passed away peacefully at home February 9, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct 23, 1948 in Terrell to Samuel Richard and Laura Percilla Webster. He graduated in 1967 from Terrell High School and was drafted into U.S.Army. He served with the 1/12 Calvery Air Mobile Dvision in Viet Nam August 1968-August 1969. He was awarded the Air Medal and Bronze Star and was honorably discharged upon returning to the states.

He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Rosenbaum, July 9,1971 and seven years later a son, Cory, was born. He lived at Cedar Creek Lake for 30 years and then returned to Terrell. He owned water purification plants, a swimming pool company in Tyler, and Webster Meat and Produce Company for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling many places, and traveling in his motor home with his wife and dog, Major, and enjoyed cold beer, good wine, stout drink, good food.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Rinks, and Brother-in-law Frankie Rinks.

Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanne, his son, Cory and his wife Clarissa, and daughter Camilla of League City; sister, Judy and husband Mark Whitaker, Mesquite; nephew, Steve Rinks and wife Monica, Aledo, Suzanne, Sean, Sam; Jason Whitaker, Allen, Aron Whitaker, Jordyn and husband Brendan Hustava, Dallas, Derek and Dolly Whitaker, Forney, son Seth, U.S Air Force stationed in Germany, and other relatives.

Richard passed peacefully at home after a few weeks of home hospice care. He battled Parkinson and PSP disease for about 5 years. We want to thank the doctors, VA, Elmo Fire Department, Visiting Angels of Forney, Alinea Hospice, family and neighbors for their support and help. Richard’s body was donated to U.T. Southwestern Medical School and cremated.
