1936-2024

Shirley Ruth Henderson- Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and community mother. A devoted Christian and pillar of the community, Mrs. Shirley was a lady of elegance, fortitude and wisdom. Born on July 6, 1936, in Terrell, to Turner and Lula Tennison Henderson, she married Russell Jones, Jr. in 1955, and they had eight children. Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years, her eight children, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and siblings Gladys Davis, Ella Mae Wilson, Freddie Estes, Clezell, Donald W., Al Ray (Nellie), and Jessie L. Henderson.
