The City of Oak Ridge honored its oldest living founder on Nov. 20 as the community named its first park after 105-year-old Robert LaRue.
“It is an honor and I appreciate it, I sure do,” the park’s namesake said after a brief ceremony attended by scores of dignitaries and well-wishers.
