Carl A. Baker, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Jan. 26, 2022.

Carl was born on March 10, 1925 in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Frank and Ellen Baker. Carl was a manager in the aluminum industry for many years. He was a devoted husband for 75 years to his wife, Betty, and loved his family, his dogs, and his Blue Bell ice cream. Carl was a proud WWII veteran serving in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division, earning 2 bronze stars. He served in the Pacific Theater and was part of the liberation of Santa Tomas Internment Camp, resulting in the rescue of several thousand civilians. Carl lived a full life in spite of his visual limitations, even becoming a published author of 2 books at the age of 90. Carl always said “the Good Lord has been so good to me.” His positive attitude and love of life is an inspiration to all who knew him.
