Sue Parnell Sullins Courts, 89, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 15, 2024, in Brighton, England. She was born on May 20, 1935, in Terrell, to the late Hogan Otto Parnell and Maurine Anderson Parnell. Sue graduated from Terrell High School, and people in Terrell always said she looked like Elizabeth Taylor. She was a light that brightened up every room she walked into. She attended college at The University of Texas in Arlington followed by College in England. Sue traveled frequently to Europe where she eventually settled in Brighton, England where she met and married Geoff Courts.

Both of Sue’s parents have preceded her in death along with her son Robert Sullins of Arlington, Texas, brother John Hogan Parnell of Terrell, Texas and sister Bennie Parnell Stone of Terrell, Texas.

Sue is survived by her loving family, sons Dan Sullins and wife Lea Sullins, Mike Sullins, Patrick Sullins and wife Stacy, her daughter Susan Sullins Hail, her brother, Judge Joe Parnell and wife Cynthia Parnell of Terrell, along with daughter-in-law Susan Sullins, and Sue’s former husband Bob Sullins of Arlington, Texas. Sue has six grandsons, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren and a cousin, Oma Lynn Brown of Terrell, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, Until we meet again.
