Terrell’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony, hosted by the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Oakland Memorial Cemetery. The ceremony honors the 20 Royal Air Force cadets who died in training accidents during the School’s tenure from 1941-1945.

Nobody was seriously injured in this collision between a pickup and dump truck on Monday evening at FM 986 and FM 3486/CR 249 in Poetry. After initial reports of head-on collision came in to the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, a CareFlite helicopter was placed on airborne standby.

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Terrell’s annual Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade is back on and will take place on Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Chamber of Commerce is encouraging schools, churches and businesses to participate in this year’s parade.
