If student-athletes want to pursue a college career in athletics, they should know college coaches like multi-sport athletes. We live in an age where club teams, select teams and high school coaches desire to have their athletes year-round. This is not in the best interest of the student-athlete. Onesport athletes do not receive the benefits of learning multiple techniques and muscle coordination?

Soccer programs ace district openers

The Terrell Tiger and Lady Tiger soccer program got their first taste of district play on Tuesday, taking on Kemp Yellowjackets and Lady Jackets respectively. Both Terrell teams entered play red-hot, with Coach Joe Stephens noting, “We have used quite a few different lineups due to injuries and other factors this season.

The Terrell Lady Tigers started last week with a much-needed break, getting the chance to rest and regroup following consecutive setbacks against state-ranked Sunnyvale and current district runner-up Caddo Mills.

Don’t Mess With Texas Scholarship contest now open

The Don’t Mess With Texas Scholarship Contest is now accepting applications for the 2022 school year. Any Texas high school senior currently attending public, private or home school and planning to attend an accredited Texas college or university in the Fall 2022 semester is eligible to apply.

TVCC students participate at Cattleman’s Congress

Trinity Valley Community College competed in the 2022 Cattleman’s Congress Livestock Show in Oklahoma City Jan. 3-6. The five members of the TVCC Beef Cattle Show Team were involved in the Open Charolais Cattle division and competed well.
