The Terrell High School Class of 2022 kicked off graduation week by participating in the annual Senior Walk event May 23. The soon-to-be grads were dressed in their caps and gowns as they navigated the hallways of each district campus. While on site, future generations of Terrell grads and TISD staff members greeted the senior class. Commencement exercises were scheduled to take place May 27 beginning at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. May 27: The Terrell High School Class of 2022 will participate in commencement exercises beginning at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. The event will be moved to the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center if weather becomes a factor.

DPS reminds drivers to buckle up, drive safely

Memorial Day is the unofficial kickoff to summer, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reminding drivers to celebrate safely as they enjoy their holiday. Today through May 30, the Texas Highway Patrol will participate in Click It or Ticket, as well as Operation CARE (Crash Awareness Reduction Effort).

The Kiwanis Club of Terrell took a trip out to visit Jake E’s Riding Round UP this week for the weekly meeting May 24. After having lunch at the ranch and hearing all about the therapeutic horseback riding and healing center located at 10626 FM 429 south, the Kiwanis were given a tour of the facility by the director, Jana. Fees waived to adopt select dogs at KC Pet Adoption Center thru May

"Ready to add a new pet to your family? All dogs over six months old and over 30 pounds are free to adopt at the Kaufman County Pet Adoption Center and we desperately need your support. Shelter overcapacity is a nationwide issue right now with medium to large dogs coming to shelters in abundance.
