Body The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released spring 2022 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results for Grades 3-8. The results include exams in mathematics and reading for grades 3–8, 5th and 8th grade science, and 8th grade social studies.

Body Postage rates will rise again on July 10. Periodicals published the week of July 11 will see rates rise between 7 and 10 percent, depending upon destinations, mail preparation and rate categories.

Body George (Rivers) Williams, Sr. of North Las Vegas, NV took his introductory flight at Terrell Aviation June 29. Williams, the son of the late Henry (Rivers) and Mary Lee Williams of Kaufman, is a member of both the Dester Flying and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Clubs.
