Grants available to Texas landowners for prescribed burning

Texas A&M Forest Service is accepting applications for grants to help eligible Texas property owners with the cost of prescribed burning on their land. The grants will reimburse landowners to offset the cost of having a prescribed burn conducted on their property by certified and insured prescribed burn managers.

Sales tax revenue collections spike 15.16 percent

The powerhouse pop vocal trio, DIVAS-3, will be performing a wide range of favorite hits by the most famous female icons in music entertainment history in a live concert at the Terrell ISD Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 This is the second performance in the 2022-‘23 E! Kaufman County hosts quarterly sexual assault response team meeting

Based on Texas law, the Kaufman County Commissioners Court unanimously approved the establishment of the Kaufman County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) at the end of 2021. The Court established this team to comply with Senate Bill 476, in the 87th Texas Legislature which mandates that all Texas counties form an adult sexual assault abuse response team in an effort to create a statewide infrastructure of resources, awareness, connection, and coordination to address sex crimes locally.

PrideRock Wildlife Refuge celebrates turning 30

In 30 years, PrideRock Wildlife Refuge, a permanent sanctuary for mistreated and unwanted animals, has conducted more than 70 animal rescues from California to West Virginia. To celebrate this milestone, the wildlife refuge is working to raise $30,000 for facility improvements during North Texas Giving Day(NTGD).
