County Judge Hal Richards opened the court’s business by discussing a recent development with the North Texas Council of Governments that could help Kaufman County moving forward.

The 2022-’23 basketball season was scheduled to hit another gear this week with both the Terrell Tigers and Terrell Lady Tigers set to compete in Royse City’s annual Craig Bowers Invitational Tournament Dec. 1-3.

Tour of Homes set for Dec. 3

The Social Science Club of Terrell and local homeowners will roll out the red carpet to the local community Dec. 3, bringing back the annual “Christmas in a Small Town” Tour of Homes event that had been put on hiatus for a twoyear span due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gas prices expected to decrease

Average gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 10.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.83/g Nov. 28, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 31.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 11.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 7.9 cents in the last week and stands at $5.20 per gallon.
