Poetry Christian Teachers of the Week

Patricia Daniels is the Poetry Community Christian School Elementary Teacher of the Week. She has a long history in education and youth intervention. She began her teaching career at Patrick Henry High School after earning her B.S. at MSU. She later taught with Uplift Preparatory and the Dallas Independent School District. Before coming to PCCS, she served as an Academic Coordinator. As a certifi ed teacher, her greatest asset is encouraging learners of any age. She knows that educational success begins when students believe in themselves and believe they can learn, regardless of the subject. She has a particular gift with young learners. A look in her classroom will see students engaged and smiling!

Saba Jean Braswell (Annis, Busby)

1940-2024 Saba Jean Braswell, longtime resident of Terrell, passed away early Sunday morning following a tragic traffic accident at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Edith Jewel, her two sisters, Geneva and Margaret, and her husband, Alton Busby.

Joseph Russell, Kaufman County Court at Law Judge

I’ve lived and raised my family in Kaufman County since 2000 and have practiced in our county and the County Court at Law this entire time. I have a firm grasp of this court’s areas of law, practicing both criminal and family law. I have participated in approximately 100 criminal jury trials ranging from DWI to capital murder, combined with literally thousands of family law cases including Child Protective Services. I also have a firm grasp of future challenges for this court and county as we grow.

Joshua Feuerstein is an entrepreneur, husband and father to six amazing, godly children. He and his wife, Jessica, raise their children on a small ranch outside of Forney. As a preacher, Joshua has been in ministry for over 20 years. In 2015, he became the founding member of President Trump’s prayer team.

Bryan Beavers, Kaufman County Sheriff

Bryan Beavers is a fourth-generation Kaufman County resident. Raised in Kemp, Bryan is a 1986 graduate of Kemp High School. Bryan joined the Kemp Volunteer Fire Department in 1983, and for 19 years, he served as the department’s chief. Bryan received his Basic Peace Officer license in 1990. For a total of 26 years, Bryan has been employed by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office where he currently serves as sheriff. Bryan has a master peace officer license, special investigator license, instructor’s license, master jailers license and holds several specialty certificates as well as approximately 3900 hours of training. Bryan is a graduate of the Southwest Law Enforcement Institute of Southwestern Legal Foundation of Police Supervisors.
