The City of Terrell invites everyone to join in the holiday spirit with “A Dickens Christmas in Terrell,” beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2024, in historic downtown Terrell.

Forney’s favorite holiday event, Christmas on Main, is back! The City of Forney is excited to announce Texas Health Resources as the presenting sponsor for this year’s event. Join us in Historic Downtown Forney on Thursday, December 7, 2024, from noon to 5 p.m. for a day full of holiday fun.

This year’s Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. We would like to encourage schools, churches and businesses to participate in this year’s parade. This year’s parade theme is 'A Dickens Christmas' and the grand marshal will be Tori Lucas, Rotary Club’s Citizen of the Year.

Nucor Buildings Group, pictured here donating 75 blankets to the Terrell Health Care Center, donated blankets to multiple locations throughout Terrell Nov. 22. The Environmental Team led the drive, and the employees donated the blankets to three nursing homes, 50 at Country View Manor, 70 at Colonial Lodge and 75 at Terrell Health Care Center. Present was Activity Director Brenda Washington, Nucor members Efrain Escobedo, Luis Seeders, Kitty Brin, Kyle Robertson, Tina Richardson and Administrator Gerald Ego.

Members of the Nucor Buildings Group dropped off 10 boxes of Turkey and fixings plus 10 additional turkeys only for those in need at the Share Center on Nov. 22. The boxes contained cans of corn, cans of green beans, cranberry sauce, instant mashed potatoes, boxes of stuffing, a turkey, rolls and gravy mix. Those present for the drop-off were Nucor members Luis Seeders, Kitty Brin, Efrain Escobedo, Kyle Robertson, Tina Richardson and Share Center’s Lynn Meador.
