A major accident involving three 18-wheeler trucks shut down Interstate 20 in Elmo on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Communications Lieutenant Public Information Officer Terrell Police Department On Tuesday November 5, 2024, Terrell Police Officers received a Flock Camera alert, issued by the Dallas Police Department, for a vehicle reported as stolen and linked to a recent robbery. Terrell Police Officers located the vehicle in the 1300 block of Rosehill Road. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle as it left the area and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit went westbound on Interstate 20 and ended when the vehicle was disabled after colliding with the center cable barrier. Three occupants of the vehicle were injured in the crash and were transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. Two occupants in the vehicle were identified as Manuel Dejesus Martinez Jr. and Derric Dione Simmons.

This program, designed to expand broadband access in rural areas, includes Kaufman and Henderson Counties in this first round of 17 counties.

Public Information Officer City Of Terrell Terrell City Council unanimously accepted Terrell City Manager Mike Sims' recommendation to appoint Arley Sansom as Police Chief and Director of Animal Control during their meeting on Tuesday. Sansom, who has been with the department for 37 years, had been serving as the Interim Police Chief since the retirement of Police Chief Ken McKeown.
